Who we are

Lumoria is an iOS application created and operated by Benjamin Caillet, an individual based in Austria. References to “Lumoria,” “we,” or “us” in these terms refer to Benjamin Caillet personally.

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Lumoria, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply alongside Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your use of any app downloaded from the App Store.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumoria. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

What Lumoria is

Lumoria is a personal memory creation app for iOS. It lets you design digital tickets, log moods, attach music, write notes, and record voice memos — organised into memories that belong entirely to you. Lumoria is currently in beta. Features may change, and some instability should be expected.

Tickets created in Lumoria are not valid documents

Lumoria is a creative tool for scrapbooking, storytelling, and personal memory-keeping. Tickets designed in Lumoria — including but not limited to plane, train, public transport, cinema, and event templates — are purely decorative. They are not valid for travel, venue entry, or any other purpose for which an official ticket would be required.

Lumoria tickets intentionally do not include barcodes or any machine-readable data. They cannot be used to board a flight, ride public transport, or gain entry to any event or venue.

By using Lumoria, you agree not to present any ticket created with the app as a legitimate travel or event document. We accept no liability for any consequence arising from such misuse.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@getlumoria.app if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account at any time from the app — deletion is immediate and permanent.

Your content

Everything you create in Lumoria — tickets, memories, moods, notes, voice memos — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

All content you store in Lumoria is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers using AES-256 encryption. We are technically unable to access, read, or process the substance of your content. We store encrypted data solely to sync it across your devices and keep it safe.

By using Lumoria, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, technical license to store and transmit your encrypted content for the sole purpose of providing the service. This license ends when you delete your account or the relevant content.

Free tier and subscription

Lumoria offers a free tier with the following limits: up to 3 memories and 10 tickets. These limits may be extended through the invite programme.

Lumoria+ is a paid subscription that removes these limits and unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store. You may cancel at any time through your App Store subscription settings. Refunds are governed by Apple’s refund policy.

Early adopter programme

The first 300 users to claim an early adopter seat receive full access to Lumoria — including all features of Lumoria+ — free for life, with no subscription required. This is a permanent grant tied to your account. It cannot be transferred. We reserve the right to revoke early adopter status if your account is found to violate these terms.

Research participation

Early adopters may be invited to participate in research — surveys, usability tests, or interviews. Participation is always optional. You can opt out at any time from the app’s notification settings. We do not share your identity or content with research partners. Any published findings are aggregate and anonymised.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

• Use Lumoria for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Use the app to store or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others
• Attempt to circumvent subscription or entitlement checks
• Create accounts for the purpose of abusing the invite or early adopter systems
• Present any ticket created with Lumoria as a legitimate travel or event document

Intellectual property

The Lumoria name, logo, design, and all original content produced by us are our intellectual property. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of Lumoria’s brand or product to you.

Disclaimer

Lumoria is provided on an “as is” basis, particularly given its current beta status. We make no warranties — express or implied — about the reliability, availability, or fitness of the app for any particular purpose. We are not liable for data loss, and we strongly encourage you not to rely on Lumoria as your only copy of important memories.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Austrian law, Benjamin Caillet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Lumoria. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of Lumoria at any time, including during the beta period. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of Lumoria after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We won’t apply changes retroactively in ways that disadvantage you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Austria. If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your country of residence.
